Financial Readiness Common Military Training

Soldiers will face financial changes in their military career. Financial literacy training sets the stage for sustained financial well-being and resilience through those challenges. That’s why Soldiers receive mandatory financial training at career milestones including:

  • Entry to service
  • Initial Entry Training
  • Arrival at your first duty station
  • Vesting in TSP
  • Receipt of PCS orders
  • Deployment
  • Marriage 
  • Birth or adoption of the first child
  • Life challenges, including divorce or disabling condition
  • Eligibility for continuation pay
  • Leadership training
  • Transition (retirement/ETS/medical discharge)
