Financial Readiness Common Military Training
Soldiers will face financial changes in their military career. Financial literacy training sets the stage for sustained financial well-being and resilience through those challenges. That’s why Soldiers receive mandatory financial training at career milestones including:
- Entry to service
- Initial Entry Training
- Arrival at your first duty station
- Vesting in TSP
- Receipt of PCS orders
- Deployment
- Marriage
- Birth or adoption of the first child
- Life challenges, including divorce or disabling condition
- Eligibility for continuation pay
- Leadership training
- Transition (retirement/ETS/medical discharge)
